It was 3° C. this morning. It won't be long before the frost is zapping my lovely basil and parsley plants that have been happily growing in my garden all summer. Before that happens though, I'll be rescuing them from that fate by harvesting the whole plant and freezing them into herb ice cubes.
To make herb ice cubes, simply chop the leaves of your favourite herbs, pack into the trays, cover with water, and freeze. Store cubes in plastic bags in the labelled freezer bags and pop them into soups, stews and more all winter long!
