Spicy Beef Stir Fry

beef stir fry

I finally bought myself a wok this past weekend. A carbon steel one. I carefully seasoned it per the directions yesterday and took it for a spin tonight with this spicy beef stir fry.

I love stir fries. For me, they are the perfect solution for rushed weeknights when you just want to get dinner on the table fast. The fact that they are generally vegetable-rich and lower in fat, is also a nice perk.

My wok worked wonderfully and this stir fry was yummy. Even the PTD (picky teenage daughter) cleaned her plate! The best part? One pot (or wok, I guess) and only 15 minutes to make!

This stir fry would also be really great with chicken and of course, can be made in a skillet as well.

  1. Thanks Allison! Love your Thai stir fry. I’m a huge Thai food lover, so I’ll definitely try it!
You might want to check your grocery store for the black bean garlic sauce as well. It’s pretty easy to find anymore.

  2. I love it!
Stir-fries are my go-to quick-fix weeknight meal of choice.
I love them because they’re always different and always satisfying!
The black bean garlic sauce in this looks tempting. I’ll have to search for it next time I’m in Chinatown.
I just blogged about a Thai-style stir fry too, if you wanted to check it out! (http://baconveggie.blogspot.com)
It’s completely different from this one – I used coconut milk and tomato paste – really out of the ordinary compared to my usual garlic, and soy based sauces!
Thanks for a nice post again!
