Wait! Don’t throw out that crystallized honey. You can turn it in to beautiful creamed honey in less than 5 minutes. And the beautiful thing is that it stays creamed, without crystallizing. Simply store in a jar at room temperature or in the fridge and enjoy.
(Sure, you could fix crystallized honey by popping it in the microwave it to temporarily liquify it again, but as soon as it sits a bit, it’s going to become all crystallized again. A much better solution is to turn crystallized honey into creamed honey and once you try it, you’ll be glad you did. Creamed honey has a creamy texture and a more subtle honey flavour. It’s perfect on toast, especially.
Any amount of crystallized honey
Add honey to a bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer. Beat on high for 3-4 minutes, or until creamy. Transfer to a jar and store at room temperature or in the fridge (for a firmer honey).
Pin it! For handy reference the next time you have crystallized honey.
