Update: Also check out On Black, which allows the option to view photos on Black or White, also via bookmarklets. (Thanks John :)

Unobtrusive Flickr Badge
![]()
New unobtrusive dynamic flickr badge
All you have to provide is a link to the flickr stream or the tagged images in your stream as a text link with a DIV with the class “flickrbadge” around it. The script is a single include and loads the style sheet and the YUI help files on demand when they are needed. Visitors can see your photos on the page and click the thumbnails to see the larger preview. You can style the badge any way you like by changing the supplied CSS file. The script is licensed Creative Commons attribution and is free for use.
One of the nicer Flickr badges I've seen.
A couple of flickr tools
FlickrSync is a photo synchronization tool for flickr users. It displays your local folders and your flickr sets and it can establish synchronization rules between them. This way you can manage all your photos locally and FlickrSync will keep them updated in flickr. Synchronization is only done one way: Your local folders or images are never changed; Everything is updated in flickr to match your local information.

And a third option, flickrshow, a javascript slideshow script that is simple to install, completely free and doesn't require Flash or any server side programming knowledge.

a Newbie's Guide to Flickr
Website Webware offers up a really nice Newbie's Guide to Flickr, which would serve as an excellent primer for anyone looking to start sharing photos on Flickr.
Monoslideshow: another way to display your Flickr photos
How To: Flickr Slideshow Badge Monoslideshow is an alternate way for showing your Flickr photos on your website. The article also details how to install and customize it to your liking.
"Monoslideshow is configured by an XML file where you usually tell it the location of the images to be displayed. Instead of using images on your server, you can give the slideshow your flickr RSS feed. The idea behind this flickr slideshow badge is that it a) won’t slow down page loading since the flash loads first, then it dynamically grabs photos from your flickr feed and b) will be something that can be placed in a blog sidebar and when hovered over, display the title and details of each particular image."
Note that Monoslideshow is not free though. It will cost $20 to download the required files.
FSViewr: A simple Javascript Flickr photo set gallery
FSViewr is a "flickr-powered javascript gallery script that is very flexible in configuration and display, but also very easy to use ."

Create SmartSets for your flickr photos with SmartSetr
"SmartSets are sets on Flickr that are updated for you in an automated way. For example, if you have a SmartSet based on the tag "flower", anytime you add photos to flickr tagged with "flower" they will automatically be added to your flower set for you (after you click refresh on SmartSetr).<"/em>
Create SmartSets including tags, text, date taken, and date uploaded and more. Popular Flickr Cameras
It's hard to find a larger collection of photographers than at Flickr and as such, a look at the popular cameras used by Flickr photographers is interesting and useful. Flickr: Camera Finder outlines some of the popular cameras from a variety of makers. As evident from the screencap inset, the Canon Rebel XT is way out in from of other contenders in the Digital SLR range (my camera of choice as well!).
I think this is particularly useful for anyone researching cameras by seeing not only what's popular, but by being able to search photos by camera and see the results first hand.
