Five days until (Canadian) Thanksgiving! My frozen turkey is out of the freezer today and in to the fridge. I will be cooking my bird on Saturday, to eat on Sunday. I have found this much easier, as it allows me to do all the messy stuff the day before. My bird is about 22 pounds, so it will need about 4 days in the fridge to thaw.

Tip: Your frozen turkey will need about 1 day in the fridge for every 5 pounds of weight, so be sure to take it out early enough that you can thaw it in the fridge (safer than room temperature thawing).
