Weekly Meal Plan #1 (Fall)

I have always found it easier to meal plan. I buy just what I need, I’m prepared and I waste less food. Here is my meal plan for this week, including a few new recipes to try (#1, #2 and #3) and a few that I have tried and loved (#4 and #5).

Through experience, I have found having only 5 meals planned (as opposed to 7), is most efficient for us. It allows for eating out/going out/grilled cheese sandwich night because I don’t feel like cooking events, which in my world, are inevitable in any given week. It also means that I don’t have a ton of ingredients sitting around for too long.

1. Chinese Orange Chicken with Rice and Green Beans

2. Chili Con Carne and Johnnycake

3. Bucatini with Roasted Tomato Butter Sauce and a side salad

4. Wicked Thai Chicken Soup and fresh crusty bread

5. Autumn Chopped Salad with grilled chicken

I’ll let you know how I liked the new recipes I’m trying this week, as well!
